· Salon didn't accept Gift Certificate which had an unclear expiration date. I used the certificate within a year’s time of when it was given to me. (Click to see Gift Certificate)
· Employees threatened me so I would pay for the service. Lily Dejavu Le, the owner, was unreachable at the time of the service.

· Phoned Lily Dejavu Le, the owner, who refused to take responsibility for vaguely stating an expiration date on the gift certificate that Lily, herself, issued. She tried to blame the lack of a proper expiration date on a former employee. Then she tried to place the responsibility on me and the person who purchased the gift. Then she hung up on me. ( Gift Certificate with Owner Signature) . If the owner signed the gift certificate, she should have ensured that the certificate included an expiration date! Her signature and the serial number on the certificate should be more than enough to validate the certificate. Apparently, this company has a lack of regard for maintaining other legal requirements as well. If they are not concerned with following local regulations, why would they provide any level of customer service?

Without question, Ms. Dejavu Le should refund the money paid for services on
Sunday. In addition, she should refund
the money paid for the gift certificate simply as a goodwill gesture for my undue
stress and wasted time. My next course of action is
to contact the BBB and NC State Attorney General’s office. I want to make
sure that others are not victimized by Dejavu as I have been.

Note that Dejavu Lifestyle Nail Salon has locations in Winston Salem, Greensboro, and Kernersville. If you decide to do business with this salon - please be very careful! Do not purchase gift certificates, or anything that you might need to return. Based on this customer experience, the employees appear to be threatening and volatile if you are unhappy with anything, and do not appear to have any desire to resolve the issues. Once they have your money, it seems that your satisfaction no longer matters. They advertise paradise - perhaps your money is their paradise!
