K-World does not honor customer rebate!
Do not expect to receive rebate - ever!
If you are considering a TV card from Kworld, do not let a rebate be the deciding factor. Even if you copy and save all of your rebate submission forms, Kworld may just tell you they never received your rebate and you are out of luck.
4/9/08: Over the past few days, I've been trying to check on the status of a rebate. After several emails to Candy@Kworldcomputer.com and emily@Kworldcomputer.com, Kworld has basically told me that they did not receive my rebate information, and I am out of luck.
It doesn't matter that I have saved all of my rebate information, copied the rebate forms, and copied the UPC code from the box, just in case. It does not matter that I have a receipt from Buy.com which clearly shows the product and purchase date.
Buyer Beware - Kworld probably won't honor rebate! See what others are saying BEFORE you think about buying a Kworld product!
Kworld eludes to quality and customer committment on their website, however that committment seems to be only up to the point of sale. Once you have their product, they seem to be more committed to making money from other people than in keeping the customers they have. The customer service is non-existent. I contacted Candy first, who told me she had no record of the rebate submission, and that I was out of luck. I followed up with a phone call, and was told that the rebate period was over, and I could not submit it again. I emailed Emily and told her I was disappointed in the response, and she passed me to Candy!
Subsequent emails were ignored - not only did they not honor my rebate, they stopped returning my emails! The price of the card is pretty high without the rebate, and I would not have purchased it otherwise. Offering a rebate and not providing it is false advertising.
I have given up on trying to get my rebate, however I wanted to post this so that anyone else who may be considering Kworld products can be forewarned. This is a collection of links I've found from others who have had issues with Kworld. Please check out the links above before purchasing ANY Kworld product, and then decide if it's really worth the risk!
